News Coverage of Events in the Month of Tashreen on Iraqi Websites (Analytical Review of Iraqi News sites, Al-Sumaria News and Al-Furat News for the Period from October 25, 2019 to December 25, 2019)

The present research was conducted with the aim of knowing the amount of news coverage of Tashreen events on websites, This study also sought to identify the nature of topics covered by Iraqi news websites, Al-Sumaria News and Al-Furat News for October events during the study period, and knowledge of the most widely used journalistic arts in the news coverage of October events on the websites of Iraq News, Al-Sumaria News and Al-Fraut News during the academic period. And the statement of the most important press sources that have been approved by Iraqi News, Al-Sumaria News, Al-Frat News and multimedia sites used in those sites, In terms of the methodological framework of the research, this research is a quantitative research, In cases where the researcher needs to adopt an analytical method to achieve the objectives of the study, The content analysis tool was used to find out the amount of news coverage of Tashreen events on the websites of satellite networks on the Internet, The researcher has relied on the theory of order of priority and the theory of social responsibility, and the most important results of the research are as follows: Websites play a major role in covering news on topics or issues of interest to the receiving audience by presenting current events that they adopt and transmit through media content, They present by distorting some facts and highlighting some topics and hiding other topics, And by presenting negative views on some issues and positive views on others, the vast amount of news coverage (Al-Sumaria News) shows the site’s political orientation to events, Since al-Sumaria News has devoted a wide area to the events of Tashreen, the news coverage of Al-Sumaria website has always been in opposition to the Iraqi government, Since the news coverage focused on the negative aspects of the government’s actions in Baghdad, the news direction of my websites (Al-Furat News and Al-Iraqiyya News) was always neutral in presenting the issues of the October events, The weakness of the neutral side in the coverage of the Al-Sumaria News site, distancing itself from media standards and showing the obvious bias of the Tashreen demonstrators, Websites (Al-Sumriya News, Eurat News and Iraq News), focusing on the art of press news, the art of short interviews and the art of press reporting, are among the most used arts in presenting the topics of October events, This meant that websites wanted to report events as if they were real, According to the researcher’s recommendations, websites should be authentic and accurate in providing press content to the receiving audience, Especially in the news coverage of the October protests in Iraq, Because credibility is the most important asset of a reporter or audience in the media, and accuracy is the best way to maintain this credibility, The communicator must confirm or recheck the accuracy of the information and data collected for the news, The websites (Al-Furat News and Al-Iraqiyeh News) should have a comprehensive coverage when dealing with the issues of October events or any issue related to the news coverage of Iraq’s internal crises, This coverage should be comprehensive of all events and in a way familiar with all the details and away from the coloring of events and news.
