The topic of the research is to explore the point of view of the Qur’an and Sunnah in each of the two concepts: tolerance and opposition, as well as their limits and controls through which tolerance or opposition and confrontation can be practiced. The research consisted of three chapters. In the first chapter, we dealt with matters that pave the way for the start of the research. There was an explanation of the research problem, its methodology, previous studies, and similar prefaces. In the second chapter, we defined tolerance and contrast in language and terminology. We listed examples from the verses of the Qur’an and the honorable hadiths, as well as the positions of the infallibles regarding the two mentioned concepts, through facts; History moved. In the third chapter, we sought to codify the controls, limits, conditions and circumstances through which the practice of tolerance or conciliation is permitted from the point of view of Sharia. In the end, we wrote down some of the mentioned controls and concluded that Islam calls for tolerance and leniency with others, violators and followers of other religions, but at the same time it permitted the practice of confrontation, violence and confrontation in special circumstances such as deterring enemies and confronting injustice.
