The research is entitled (The formal transformations in the interior design at the Abbasid holy shrine) the patterns of Islamic architecture differed in its functions, uses, and the scope of those uses expanded with the expansion and extension of the Islamic state. It is no longer limited to the construction of public buildings in mosques, as schools, hospitals, palaces, mosques and shrines have appeared, which include the graves of important figures, ligaments, and others. It differed in its horizontal heights and decorative features according to its function, but it was united in its general characteristics that emanate from the general principles of the Islamic faith and the architectural concepts derived from it. The changes that occurred were strikingly showing the extent of the formal transformation in the interior design within the holy shrine. I proceeded to write the research. It included several chapters. The first chapter consisted of two chapters, the first of which talks about an introduction and the methodological framework for research and the second topic in previous studies. The second chapter consists of five sections: the first includes the religious formal transformation in art over time, the second topic deals with the interior design of the facility and development, the third topic includes the mechanics of working the interior design in religious shrines, the fourth topic includes the interior design of the iwan at the Abbasid the third was a research community, samples, method of analysis, analysis of samples, and the fourth chapter consists of results, conclusions, and recommendations. I reached important results in this research, including the Muslim artist relied in its design on the use of the double construction of two types of convergent arches (goblet – floral) in the decorative frame with differences in appearance for the purpose of diversity, which increases by adding the one construction of one type to the double construction in the main space, in Decorative hearts with a single construction of the cassette or pink type, and the contrast or contrast (meaning the difference) and it forms a relationship of difference in the visual field in a way that achieves diversity , unity which helps to distinguish the design elements and invest them to direct the recipient towards the desired goal and thus we find the types of discrepancies that move the visual field in the design process and is also achieved between straight and curved lines of all kinds. normal, realistic) as well as contrast in color.
