This research, entitled “Waqf properties, their types, investment and endowments of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, until 260 A.H.” And he received great care from them to preserve his public benefit and protect him from neglect and misbehavior, as it came in the honorable Prophetic hadith: ((If the son of Adam dies, his work is cut off except for three ongoing charity, knowledge that benefits him, or a righteous son who prays for him)). There are many types of endowments in The time of the Prophet and the pure Ahl al-Bayt, including the endowment for knowledge, the endowment for wells, the endowment for mosques, and others. We took the issue of endowment properties and their types with their importance in achieving economic and social development in the Islamic society and the Islamic state in the era of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the era of the Imamate until 260 AH. The city and outside it, and the disclosure of the role of the Prophet and his family in urging charity and charity and the extent of their participation in providing the Islamic community in general and the Shiite community in particular. Building a historical vision and analyzing it according to the rules followed for studying and interpreting the narratives of history. Among the most important results of the study: The endowment has economic, religious, social, humanitarian and cultural dimensions and was one of the characteristics of the Islamic civilization that was known for its tolerance and giving. And the Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl al-Bayt were the first to create and invest the endowments. And that they, blessings of God be upon them, invested the endowment for two things; The first: to preserve the foundation of the endowment from extinction and damage, and the second: to develop its benefit so that it spreads to the largest number of beneficiaries. And that the endowment and its investment began limited and developed with the development of time and the need of society, and that the endowment had a prominent role in achieving social solidarity in Islam and providing the community with what it needs.
