This research deals with the allegorical image in the poem of the poet “Abul Qasim Maghribi” as an example and model, and in this way aims to explain the artistic and aesthetic value of the metaphorical image in Moroccan poetry compared to other poets of the Abbasid era. The present article has presented an introduction to the history of
imagery, and in it, the trend towards literary rhetorical metaphor has been mentioned, in line with the grammar that metaphor achieves in terms of being the essence of the language of poetry. In the end, it is understood about several axes on which the metaphorical image was formed in the poetry of Abolghasem Maghrib, which are: diagnostic metaphor, composite metaphor, etc. Through these axes, the style of poetry is embellished with artistic and aesthetic capabilities and creative expression techniques that combine abstract and tangible style with reality and imagination. Here, the poet turns to reality and creates life and movement in it and creates a new existence from it, which is completely in contrast with the familiar reality. One of the most important results that the researcher achieved is the attention to the aspect of coordination and coherence between the types of disaggregated metaphors, which are meant to create data and introductions, which are the result of different cognitive thoughts and ideas. Also, metaphor appeared in the poet’s poetry in its modern meaning, which is successive metaphors. Another result is that ironic metaphors are used more than explicit metaphors in his poems, which shows that the poet is more inclined to allusions and poetic ambiguity.
