Digital media and the means of communication have become a tool for spreading digital culture, expanding its fields of applications, and the emergence of features of modern activities and the reflection of their effects on the movement of human reality an important and prominent reflection that contributed to the rapid spread of digital culture. The study problem is summarized in the following main question: What is the role of digital media in affecting the intellectual security of Iraqi youth?

The main question is divided into two sub-questions: How do the uses of digital media affect the intellectual security of Iraqi youth? What are the preventive means to protect the intellectual security of Iraqi youth from the danger of digital media uses?

The study mainly aimed at: Knowing the attitudes of Iraqi youth and knowing the points of defect and failure of the recipient for everything that affects his intellectual security.

In order to answer the research questions، the researcher adopted the descriptive _ survey approach، using the questionnaire as a tool for collecting information. The questionnaire was presented to a random sample of Iraqi youth amounting to 300 respondents، and the study reached a number of results، the most prominent of which is that the new media deserves the task of promoting cultural values، and publishing them in Various regions of the world are able to achieve endeavors to revitalize peoples’ culture، and are able to embody what the Arab media aims to achieve via Facebook، Twitter and WhatsApp. Digital media and the proliferation of its many applications have an impact on intellectual security and increased user awareness
