Islam paid great attention to the process of reforming society from the evils that were prevalent in the pre-Islamic era، so the divine commands that take the hand of the community to reform، development and progress were revealed. One of the matters that Islam was concerned with reforming is the process of devaluing rights that were largely prevalent in the pre-Islamic era and even the era of the beginning of Islam، so Islam deliberately ended it completely، and the verses that forbid the tampering that occurred in the balance were revealed، to the extent that there is an entire surah named with (Surat al-Mutaffifin) due to the greatness of this matter in the Islamic perspective، and because the Holy Qur’an and its legislative rulings are valid for every time and place، and are not limited to a specific time or place. In it there is a devaluation of rights The commentators and scholars have benefited from the verses that forbid tampering in the balance in the prohibition of tampering in general، and accordingly they have prohibited every operation in which a swindling of rights occurs، so they include in the credentials of tampering: the slander that occurs in family relations، commercial transactions and other rights. Based on the foregoing، tampering had two meanings، a specific meaning that was confined to the balance of sellers، and a general meaning that included every understatement of rights، and there is no doubt that this tampering in its general sense represents a scourge that ravages members of the Islamic society in terms of the negatives it causes، and one of the most important of those negatives is The punishment of God Almighty that He inflicts on the societies in which this deviation is rampant، as well as the loss of trust among members of the same society. It was important to study this matter and clarify its specific and public credentials، as well as explain its impact on Islamic societies، and mention the Qur’anic and Hadith methods in dealing with it. The researcher used the methodology of his research and relied on the descriptive approach in his research through the interpretation of verses related to the topics of his research. One of the most important objectives of the investigation is not to underestimate the rights of others and to give rights to their owners, to make justice the basis of transactions, and to return to the Holy Qur’an, which is the main center in transactions, as in the saying of the great Prophet (religion is transaction). One of the most important findings that the researcher reached is the approach of the nation in which cheating and belittling is rampant to humiliation and humiliation, and that belittling is a cause of mistrust among people, and thus, belittling is despised among people.
