With the elements of military and material power that the Islamic state had, it did not have to give a spiritual character to the society it rules, as it found in it the most successful way to spread its teachings that would enable it to consolidate its influence without leaving any room for doubt about any material ambitions that put it in the crosshairs of suspicion, and here the role of Sufism is the movement that has taken asceticism and distance from worldly pleasures as the cornerstone of its visible structure, and the inclination of society towards the path of purity as its supreme goal. Especially after the differences that arose between the Islamic sects as a result of the class disparity that occurred in that period, sometimes turning away from the fields of governance and politics, and at other times taking the position of the guide correcting the course of governments, and if necessary, the position of the rebellious opponent in support of its declared principles. Among them are red lines and a path that cannot be deviated from. Her homogeneity with the Islamic movement enabled her to uncover and announce her goals and surpass them in popularity because of her flexibility. She dropped the burdens of the obligatory duties on her followers, and freed her hands from the yoke of rituals obliging her to perform the role assigned to her as a machine that was never inhabited by the soul, to transform from Individual cases to a curriculum that has its references and well-known sheikhs in the Islamic community in general and Andalusian in particular. I single out them by mentioning Lisan al-Din Ibn al-Khatib, as I found with him my desire to investigate the impact of Sufism in Andalusian society and its irrefutable mark on political and social life.
