As believers of the existing Qur’an as a revelation from a Divine source, protected from distortion and alteration, we focus on all the characteristics and details of this text in order to be guided by its guidance and reach its goal. The last words of the verses (favasil al-ayat), that have been affected by verbal and non-verbal indications (qarineh), is one of these characteristics. There are many benefits in understanding the link between the last words of the verses and those indications, because first it helps us in understanding the verses and secondly, one of the most important aspects of the inimitability of the Qur’an is revealed, which is embodied in the endings of the verses and their relevance to their surrounding words and meanings, and the purposes and ends of that verse. Therefore, it has an important impact on the two fields of Qur’an’s interpretation and inimitability. Presenting a detailed research on the indications and verse-endings and their divisions, rules and effects independently, the current study searches for the effect of verbal and non-verbal indications on the last words of the Qur’anic verses. This research shows that the end of Qur’anic verses is determined and affected by the type of the indication and its meaning by separating the Qur’anic passages, or by connecting and linking the previous and subsequent passages; and also organizes the verbal and rational indications to consider the Qur’anic verse-endings according to a special Qur’anic system, which affects the meaning and pays attention to the indications that deflect the initial meaning to a second meaning to which the indication leads, no matter it is verbal or rational. Then it draws attention to another type of indication, which is the audio and music indication in the last words of the verses, and proves the necessity of paying attention to this important indication in Qur’anic researches, since the Qur’anic verse-endings has a sound and rhythmic effect that affects the souls and conveys a meaning appropriate to the content of the verse. The reasons is that the resonance of words and their sounds and rhythms is a language that penetrates the soul and raises it to sacred horizons, and leads it to peace.
