The effect of religious behavior on the psychological and social adjustment of orphans in social care institutions in the Republic of Iraq

– The origin of the present research can be searched in the following contents:

The child lives a normal life in a family that is responsible for caring for and supporting him. The family helps him to acquire the ability of psychological and social adjustment And if the father dies, the sons will not be seriously harmed, such as stress, anxiety, sadness, depression, as well as religious commitment. The culture that orphans receive as a result of the explosion of information exposes them to the clash of civilizations and cultures that originate from watching satellite networks and various Internet websites. And these issues have doubled their need to follow religious commitments that show them the right path.

Discussion method:

In this study, the laboratory or clinical approach is followed :Through which a phenomenon is identified by gathering evidence to examine the accuracy of the researcher’s assumptions. The method in question is an accurate description of the phenomenon through typical interpretations Because the researcher is a specific individual and all his considerations are focused on the individual cases known as case studies. And for this reason, in the present study, we used a questionnaire and a comparison

We then analyzed the views as much as possible and extracted interpretive results to arrive at objective and scientific solutions. Because this method leads us to answer the questions related to the discussion. As it describes and defines things as they are, and once this information is obtained, the necessary steps can be taken to resolve the problem.

Research results:

General Hypothetical Conclusion: The results indicate the invalidity of the hypothesis that there is no difference in the degree of psychological and social adjustment in the level of religious behavior in homeless children residing in social care institutions.  This means that there are differences in the levels of psychological and social adjustment of orphans to the extent of their tendency to religious behavior, high or low. The balance in favor of orphans has a high religious behavior, because orphans with higher religious behavior have a higher ability of psychological and social adjustment. Conclusion of the first sub-hypothesis: The results indicate the rejection of this hypothesis that due to the gender variable, there is no difference in the level of religious behavior of homeless children residing in social care institutions.

This means that there are differences in the levels of psychological and social adjustment of orphans to the extent of their tendency to religious behavior. The balance in favor of orphans is high religious behavior, because orphans who have higher religious behavior. They have the ability to adapt more psychologically and socially. The result of the second sub-hypothesis: The results indicate the rejection of the hypothesis that is based on the absence of differences in the level of religious behavior of homeless children residing in social care institutions due to the following age fluctuations: (12-13 years, 15-15 years, 16-17 years) Accordingly, the hypothesis was accepted that there is a difference between the levels of orphans in relation to religious behavior with respect to life variables. And it became clear that these differences are in favor of orphans in the age groups (17-16 years), which means that orphans in this age group pay more attention to religious behavior.
