THE ATTITUDE OF BAGHDADI WOMEN REGARDING COVERAGE OF WOMEN’S ISSUES IN THE IRAQI MEDIA NETWORK (“SHEHRAZAD SPOKE” PROGRAM AS A MODEL)

The concepts of isolating Iraqi women (Baghdadiya) from the developed social life arose during the eras of backwardness and the absence of cultural awareness in general, and did not receive any attention within society, and because women’s issues are among the important issues in Arab society, the role of television programs directed at Iraqi women emerged in the Iraqi media network, including a program “Sheherazade spoke” in order to educate her in all intellectual, social, cultural and political aspects, and the researcher found that the research problem focuses on women’s issues in this program and to reveal their role in developing the trend of Baghdadi women in covering those issues. The “Shehrazad” program is considered one of the most important programs of the Iraqi media network directed at women. Hence, the importance of research lies in presenting the effective role of Baghdadi women in Iraqi society, encouraging them to actively participate in all aspects of life within Iraqi society and highlighting the positives and negatives of the media content of the targeted programs. For Iraqi Women (Baghdadiya), and in order to achieve the objective of the study in knowing the direction of Baghdadi women regarding coverage of women’s issues in the “Sheherazade” program, the researcher relied on the survey method, using the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The research sample represented the cultural and media axes related to women’s rights that were addressed by the program. Scheherazade said, “and reached the most important results: Television programs have an effective role that has contributed to attracting the world’s attention to women’s issues. The “Sheherazade” program presented issues of fundamental importance about the Iraqi woman (Baghdadi) and the problems she faces by supporting the Baghdadi woman and making her stronger and more solid and making her cause one of the most important issues In the media arena, the program presented the issues of the Baghdadi woman, making her more aware, understanding and aware of her problems, which led to her addressing the injustice and rebellion inherited against her during the years of the dictatorship. He shed light on several important issues, but neglected and ignored other topics and issues that have an impact on Iraqi society, such as drug addiction issues and electronic literacy issues for Baghdadi women, and through the women’s program “We Speak Scheherazade”, the issue of women’s physical exploitation has become a core issue, so he discussed the radical solutions to these issues. The issue, as he focused most of his attention on women’s social and cultural rights and their humanitarian activities, but his interests was directed towards her emotional needs more. The researcher recommends that there are gaps that we must address within the program, so the scope of the talk show and freedom of opinion should be expanded for the “Sheherazade” program, as the program needs to strengthen its cultural and media axes so that it deals with the rights and issues of Baghdadi women in a deeper and broader way, and calls on modern media technology to move away On promoting the bad and cheap culture of women through films full of violence and sex, which requires moving away from this culture that offended women.
