The book Jewish War written by Jewish historian Josephus Flavius who himself was the witness of events or made use of the remarks of Jewish prisoners. Such a thing has given a documentary or qusi- documentary value to his Work. Discriptions in this book is as such Epic and all the scenes have been portaited in a precive way. The main pivot of book is the war report and it has three main section. The first part of the book begins with a description of the events before the Maccabees revolt and continuse with Hasmoneans and Herodian dynasties and eventually the jewish war with the Romans in the year 66 CE. The second part of the book is on the various events of the war, such as the siege of Masada, death of the opponents of the Jews as well as other important detail about Partian kingdom. The third and final section of the book deal with siege and occupation of Jerusalem and destruction of the Temple in the year 70 AD. This dissertation is a translation of the first part of the book. The introduction of this dissertation is presented in four discussions: The first article reviews the life of the Josephus,the author of the work, from his childhood; the second article is about the works of Josephus and the third article deals with the main topics of his book including the Maccabees and Herod’s predecessors until the fall of Herodian dynasty; and the last article is about Herod Temple and destruction Temple which is the most important event in Jewish history.
