Psychology of religion is one of the fields of religious studies which is about Psychological study of human religiosity. This dissertation is an attempt to express Ghazali’s views about Basic topics in psychology of religion, such as: religion and religiosity, faith, religious experience, effects of religion and religiosity.Ghazali’s place have been specified among the various schools and streams in Psychology of Religion and methodologies have been done. On this idea Religion and religiosity is as universal and inclusive as human life on which the innovative structure of Ihya’ ‘ulum al-din is based. On this idea religion has divine origin. The universality and hierarchy which Ghazali considered for religiosity can be understand according to his ideas about the nature of faith. Ghazali’s discussion of the religious experience, because of his own Liberation experience, can be considered as experiential account of these issues. Finally, an attempt has been made to express the effects of religion and religiosity. To estimate, this attempt is to have a Psychological approaches to Ihya’ ‘ulum al-din and thus to create a positive attitude to religion and religiosity among the diversities in psychology of religion.
