The Ibn-e Taymiyyah Standpoint about Imam Ali and Ahl-Albayt, specially in the book of “Minhaj al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyyah” which has been written in the eighth century in rejecting the Allameh al-Helli’s book of “ Minhaj al-Karamah fi Isbat al-Imamiah”, caused  the Sunni and Shi’a scholars criticisms and  oppositions in the way that they have gave Ibn-e Taymiyyah the different titles such as hypocrite, unbeliever, unfaithful,  amawi, out of the religion of Islam and anti-Shi’ite. The mentioned titles indicating various analysis about the Ibn-e Taymiyyah’s position regarding Imam Ali and Ahl al-Bayt which almost all of them are coming out of the theological outlooks of his opponents. The present thesis with historical approach to the sharp and extremist outlooks of Ibn-e Taymiyyah about the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt and by stressing the phrases which have used in his work, believes that his position about the Imam Ali’s virtues and Ahl al-Bayt are moved from the way of thinking of Othmanieh not from anti-Shi’ite thinking.
