The approximate capacities of Sunnites in the east of the country

The present thesis under the title of “The approximate capacities of Sunnites in the east of the country with an emphasis on the southern Khorasan” is intended to culturally, socially, politically and religiously deal with the approximate capacities of the boundary region of the east of the country which during the history has been a subject of attention as a significant and effective region in preserving and protecting the boundaries of Iran. This research is to state that the followers of Sunni sect in the east of the country, despite all the conflicts they have in their religious attitudes, yet enjoy from the approximate special capacities and backgrounds which may result in the unity of Shia and Sunnite if they are paid attention. To achieve this purpose, some part of the treatise studies were collected by the bibliotheca method and direct referring to authentic Shia and Sunnite references, and the other part of it is conducted by the field method and by the means of interviewing and face to face conversation with the Shia and Sunnite experts and knowledgeable peoples in the domain of approximation.  In this treatise after dealing with the essentials and theoretical principles of the discussion in the first chapter, the cultural, social and political status of the Sunnites of the east of the country, including the language, literature and customs of this region’s people and their political activities are mentioned in the second chapter. In the third chapter the religious and scientific status of the Sunnites of the east of the country with an investigation over their religious centers including the mosques, sacred places and etc. are dealt with and also the religious characters of that land and the existing religious trends in that region are introduced. And in the fourth chapter it is dealt with reviewing the faith, verbal and jurisprudential status of the Sunnites of the east of the country. In this chapter also the place of the progeny of the prophet for the Sunnites is stated and at the end the final summing up is brought.
