The Blessing has been an Important and professional issues in religious life. It depends on a physical or spiritual connection between a being and the sacred which convey the Holiness from the sacred to the profane. According to the importance and greatness of the sacred, the blessing has more influence and sensibility. The doctrine of blessing is considered in Catholic Church and has been mentioned in the Bible many times. The main examples of blessing are: blessing in birth, baptism, marriage and death. Its principal results are: attaining to the kingdom of heaven, becoming hair of the earth, forgiving the sins and hiding the false doings, finding the life crown which God promised to His friends, reside in the glory spirit of God and escaping from the pains. The doctrine of blessing is not used very times in the Quran and is not considered as an affirmed doctrine, but in practice and in folk religion there is a vast attention to it and is seen in many sacraments and rites of passages. In Islam, the rites which are related to birth, marriage and death are often mixed with blessing and has many results such as: increasing in incomes (rizq), attaining old age, growth of chattels and children’s, keeping the health, reinforcement of divine spiritual relation, and increasing the dignity. Meanwhile unlike the Catholicism which blessing is a theological doctrine, in Shi’ism this issue is often considered in folk religion.
