In the history of Shiite theology, from the time of infalliblest to the present era, several theological schools have emerged and evolved. Meanwhile, two major theological schools in Qom and Baghdad are of high importance since these two schools gave birth to prominent scholars and books. The current study highlights these two schools since they both follow two different methodological method. Qom school follows the positivism of its predecessors while the other school prefers to adopt rationalism of its predecessors. However, it should be noted that each school adopted such a way based on the position they had. In addition, among all theological issues, the Messianic issue is the most important which has always been highly regarded by experts and scholars of religion; more precisely, religious scholars have not ignored this issues; however, they have written one or more books in this field. Based on the methodological and theoretical differences of these two methods, the Messianic issue and its different dimensions have been studied by religious scholars; therefore, an investigation of the viewpoints of these scholars have been addressed in three sections under different titles. Finally, this conclusion has been made: Although these two schools had two different approaches to theological issues, they are not deeply different in terms of the topic they are discussing. Furthermore, if differences are observed in some cases, they are more related to the difference between the individuals studying the schools and not to the schools themselves.
