A study of Amin¬-AL-Islam Tabarsi’s historical perspectives Relying on The book “The Holy Personages” (Alaam al- weri)

This research project aims at examining the status and works of Amin­-AL-Islam Tabarsi and his effects on Emamiyya works Abu Ali Fadhl ibn Hasan Ibn Fadhl Tabarsi (who died in 548  AH) is known as Amin¬-AL-Islam Tabarsi. He is a seixth century AH Emamiyya scholar and writer who has created lots of works on the side of Emamiyya Shiite during the last decades of that century.   In order to make him known, a brief narration of his life is provided and then, his social and scientific status is made clear through introducing his works. Besides, to show his scientific position, some brief references are made to the contextualism of the social and conceptual milieu of the regions like Khorasan and rey, which were his preaching and scientific territories. Besides, his views are introduced through a content-based examination of his works and ideas as well asan inspection of the categories of the sources in which his works has been used. Another aspect of this study includes the examination and criticism of his works on the topics like documents, sources and contents. Because of the fact that this study is a multi discipline research project, both mental and narrative methods have been used in it. Besides, different sources like translated and bibliographical, historical – especially local histories – and linguistic sources are used.
