isavowal of pagans, has a history as long as the life of monotheistic religions and is considered as one of the elements of monotheism which will be permanent and eternal. In this regard, His Excellency Imam Khomeini says:” Don’t think that the purpose of Abraham, Musa and Mohammad (Peace be upon them) concerns only a special period of time. Shouting disavowal of pagans is not only for a special period of time. Disavowal causes the divine guardianship and sovereignty to happen. The guardianship realizes only when other guardians are ruled out. Disavowal of atheists and pagans is one of two basic pillars of monotheism; therefore, the thesis herein has been compiled in five chapters: Chapter one: overview: the necessity of disavowal of pagans, the historical background of disavowal and the main and secondary questions together with the study of the concepts of the words; in second chapter the reasons to disavowal of pagans are discussed about which is considered as one of key topics; the third chapter deals with doctrinal and political principles and the disavowed individuals. And in the fourth chapter we have dealt with commands consistent with disavowal in the view of Imamiyya and the four schools (Shafei, Hanbali, Hanafi and Maliki). The individual and social effects of disavowal of pagans are discussed upon in the fifth chapter. And due to the importance of the subject of pilgrimage and its direct relation with disavowal of pagans, at the end, in addition to conclusion, we dealt with this issue that the disavowal is not controversy. As Imam Khomeini said: the pilgrimage without disavowal will not be accepted; and the disavowal is a part and the soul of pilgrimage. It is noteworthy to say that due to its necessity and importance and also after consulting with the respected supervisor, academic advisor and director of the group of Jurisprudential Denominations, we discussed about the Imamiyya (Shia) perspective in more details, and all unanimously believed that if each of these jurisprudential, doctrinal and politicalsubjects are not talk about together, the discussion would remain incomplete and imperfect. At the end, I hope these subjects to stimulate the connoisseurs and experts to deal with the subject of disavowal of pagans more than before. Unfortunately, up to this time no book has been written in this regard.
