The issue of Pre-Creation is one of the extensive debates addressed in many traditions (hadiths). Despite the different approaches of two schools of Qom and Baghdad to reason and tradition, the scholars of these two schools have somehow touched upon this issue and they have reached to different or even opposing conclusions in this matter which is apparent in their book. The scholars of Qom school have a positive attitude towards those hadiths (traditions) related to the issue of Pre-Creation and have come to accept this hadith; the most prominent Baghdad scholars, however, vehemently oppose to these traditions attempting to deny them and prove their own ideas using different reasons. They consider these traditions unreliable because of: the accordance of such belief with the idea of Gnostics (those who believe in reincarnation), extremism (ghuluww) and Hashviyeh, non-independent existence of the soul, no authority of Khabar al-Wahid (Single Report), opposition of these reports with the rule of reason, etc. However, Qom scholars have accepted these traditions and their contents without having any justification or interpretation for them introducing them as Shiite beliefs. The argument of Baghdad scholars in rejecting the Pre-Creation of Ahl ul-Bayt (As.) is not sufficient; moreover, according to diversity and authenticity of traditions, the belief in the concept of Pre-Creation is allowable and in accordance with the theme of Sahii traditions without rejecting reincarnation, ghuluww, etc.
