Maronite church whose complete name is syriac maronite church of antonioch is a branch of Eastern Catholic Church. This church is united with Pop in Rome, however, despite the fact that this church is united with Catholic Church in Rome and accepts the majority of its theological teachings and religious rituals, it differs from Catholic Church in some aspects. This Church is also considered to be of the important branches of Eastern Christianity. Maronite are religious groups residing in Syria and mostly in Lebanon. Nowadays, maronite are scattered all over the global community and some of them are busy doing religious, social, and economic activities in other countries. They are also considered to be an influential group in Lebanon which is their homeland and safe zone and play a significant and strategic role in politics, economy, religion and culture.  According to what was mentioned above, this study, considering books, articles, and encyclopedias regarding this Church, tries to qualitatively investigate the history of Maroni Church, its theological teachings and religious rituals and also figure out the similarities and differences between this church and other churches particularly Catholic Church and other Eastern Christianity Churches. In addition to that, this study tends to reconsider the stance of this Church in Lebanese society today and also in the world regarding religion, society, and politics.
