In this dissertation, the theory of Forms from the views of Plato, Mulla Sadra, Tabatabai and Javadi Amoli has been reviewed. For this purpose, the theory of Forms is firstly examined in the context of Plato’s historical account, and it has been shown that Plato has put this theory in response to two ontological and epistemological questions. In his ontology question, the extent of existence and also the actual existence and in epistemology, the possibility of studying the science and quality of science to various affairs and the extent of the realization of science, has solved this theory, then a theorem has been expressed in Mulla Sadra’s view, Mulla Sadra’s Self-expression expresses the view of Avicenna in the opposition and the Suhrawardi in concurring with the theory of the like, and then, by criticizing their arguments, mentions their views with other arguments. Mulla Sadra uses the parable to solve the problem of science and jurisprudence, as well as the issue of being. Tabatabai opposes the theory, and Jadid Amoli’s view also in agreement with him, however, Javadi Amoli, with a particular reading, believes in a part of the theory of Divine Names.
