Islamic unity is a lofty and transcendent ideal that since the beginning of Islam, conscious and enlightened thinkers and scholars have tried hard to achieve and strengthen it. Islamic unity is the cause of lasting strength and power and the superiority of the Islamic Ummah and the movement of society towards perfection and growth. On the contrary, division and strife are the most important causes of the internal defeat of the ummah and the collapse of the power and glory of the Muslims. One of the serious harms of Islamic societies in the current situation is religious differences. Unity is a category that has long been included in the religious culture of Islamic countries and has gradually found a special place. Shiite and Sunni scholars and intellectuals, especially in recent centuries, have paid special attention to it. The Holy Quran also pays special attention to the issue of Islamic unity, on the one hand, recounts the positive consequences of unity, and in expressing the value and position of unity, in addition to speaking of unity as a great, significant and memorable blessing, Will try to preserve it by remembering the bitter era of division and turmoil; Because the unity among the believing ummah is a union that has been formed and realized by the will of God Almighty, and on the other hand, it warns of the dire consequences of the difference; Because, of course, differences and divisions have been important factors in the decline and collapse of civilizations and human societies and religious nations. Accordingly, the issue of unity and division and strife is repeatedly raised in the Qur’an and the factors of unity and the grounds for division are reminded. Among the scholars and intellectuals who have paid special attention to this important issue in the present age and have made great efforts to achieve it, are Imam Khomeini (ra) and Hassan al-Banna, one with Shiite thought and principles and the other with Ahlul thought and principles. Tradition. What this research implies is the study of the concept and nature of Islamic unity and how it is formed from the perspective of these two thinkers.
