The Historical Study and Analysis of Wills Though In The Presence of Imam Epoch

Administration and succession was amongst the most important issues after the demise of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) which due to different conceptions thereof created the grounds for discrepancies among the Muslims. Whilst based on the reports of the ancient historical sources of the Shiah, the administration of Imam Ali (pbuh) and his eleven descendants was emphasized by the Prophet (pbuh) and was perspicuous for all. After electing the caliph by people, Imam Ali’s struggle for mentioning to return to the Prophet’s commands didn’t work and Imam Ali (pbuh) became the fourth caliph after Othman. His Holiness dealt with this issue again in his adjurations. The issue of administration, after Imam Ali (pbuh), in the time of Imam Hassan (pbuh) and Imam Hossein (pbuh) was likewise in the center of attention and was mentioned to people. After the occurrence of Ashura, in the time of Imam Sadjad’s Imamate, the Zaidiyyah’s political and intellectual trend was formed in the politically prudent dissimulation of Imam Sadjad (pbuh). The Zaidiyyah, similarly, stressing on the administration, emphasized on the texts indicating the imamate and accepted the imamate of Imam Ali (pbuh) based on the covert text and the imamate of Imam Hassan and Imam Hossein (peace be upon them) based on the overt text. In the time of Imam Bagher (pbuh) and Imam Sadigh (pbuh) many endeavors were made for the issue of administration. Imam Sadegh’s special attention to the issue of administration, led some people to make a mistake and choosing Ismaeel as the administrator of Imam (pbuh), accordingly, a new trend in the history of Shiah appeared. After Imam Bagher and Imam Sadegh (peace be upon them) due to the importance of this issue and the keen interest of the Shiites toward nominating its referent, the belief in the administration in the Shiah prospered extensively. The determinant role of administration in the political and intellectual developments of Shi’ism, led this research to pay attention to this question that what process the idea of administration in the era of Imams’ appearance has gone through and what feedback has had in the historical sources. Using the historical sources and heresiography and also narrative sources, this survey is going to deal with the existence of administration in the era of Ahl-al-Bayt appearance (pbut) and also its functions and indications and the manner of its spread.
