In the process of perceiving or revealing what is called Islamic art, the Muslim artist often tends to have a distinctive use of abstraction and a reluctance to make realistic representations. Historical scholars, traditionalists, and other theorists of the field have examined the reasons for Muslim artists’ tendency to abstract with a different approach and have provided distinct and sometimes similar components to explain. In their view, a complex and sometimes complex set of philosophical, mystical, jurisprudential, theological, and historical causes can be identified, but these components are usually disaggregated, evaluated, explained, and categorized in a single study. The present study intends to categorize and explain the factors and factors influencing the tendency of Muslim artists to abstract from among the works of the aforementioned scholars. This descriptive-analytic study first explores the nature of Islamic art, and then explains the reasons for selecting and applying abstraction in practice based on Islamic art approaches and methods of study. These approaches include philosophical-mystical, theological, jurisprudential, and historical approaches. The findings of the study indicate that the often abstract art of this civilization, usually in its elements and structures, was adapted from the fashions or motifs of other civilizations and cultures, but under the influence of Islamic teachings it made creative choices. Thus, the manifestations of this art are exquisite and distinctive, yet abstract.
