Video games were initially an entertainment industry. With the advancement of technology, games have also changed in quality and content. Today, games can include multiple aspects and this has led to an increase in the numbers of fans of this medium. Games provide an entertaining atmosphere for their users. During the interaction and activity that the user has while playing, the conflict is formed which speeds up user’s thinking. Decision making and reaction give rise to more interest and motivation. These are elements of the game which can increase the game’s capacity to address various issues in an effective and appealing manner. Religion is one of the subjects that has a place in the games with modern and new methods. In order to examine religious games, specifically Christian video games, this study expresses the religious principles of Christianity and then analyzed the elements of three selective Christian video games based on Augustine’s arguments in City of God to answer the main question of how City of God will be represented in Christian video games. Generally, the purpose of the research is to show that according to certain principles, the components of the games can create Christian video games which will be successful in representing Augustine’s thoughts in City of God.
