In Iranian and England law, when couples get married, the rights and duties are assigned to the parties, including financial rights. The function of financial rights for women is to support her financially. In this thesis, cases such as dowry, alimony and inheritance which are examples of financial support, are examined in the legal system of the two countries, Iran and England. The preferred approach is comparative and expressing commonalities and differences to determine the strengths and weaknesses of both systems, and perhaps by comparing Iran’s laws with England’s, a solution can be found to strengthen financial support for the wife in the Iranian legal system. The dowry is only mentioned in Iranian law and in England law, it is not specifically addressed. Alimony in Iranian law is imposed upon the couple when the permanent marriage is lawfully performed and in England law, both couples are required to provide the necessities of life _Whether starting a matrimonial life with or without a marriage contract. According to Iranian law, alimony is also provided by the couple during the matrimonial life, but in England law, the wife may apply for alimony after divorce. Inheritance in the laws of both countries includes couples and they both inherit from each other. The research method in this thesis is descriptive-analytical.
