One of the figures that caused the emergence of several sects among Shiite after the martyrdom of Imam Hasan Asgari (A.S) was Jafar ibn Ali, known as Jafar Kazzab (liar). Due to his social status -because of his affiliation with the Imamate househo gtg gffld- he provided favorable conditions and made claims. The main concern of this thesis is to analyze the characteristics and character of Jafar ibn Ali by collecting library information through descriptive-analytic research method, and to report and analyze the impact of his claim on the formation of Shi’ite deviant flaws. The results indicate that Ja’far ibn Ali has had a number of deviations in the two parts of thought and practice, so that the Imam of the Time (A.S) mentioned in a letter the 40-day abandoning of the prayer and the teaching of magic. He paved the way for the inclination of some of the Shiites to himself by claiming Imamate and spreading some false beliefs; on the other hand, the scientific and cultural efforts of Shiite scholars resulted in divulging him. Therefore, most of the followers of Ahl al-Bayt were guided out of astonishment and aberration.
