All Islamic sects consider jihad to be one of the branches of religion, but nowadays, this obligatory religious duty has been misused by some of the jihadist groups in the Islamic world, which has brought about huge problems and predicaments. Jihad, which one of the philosophies for its obligation has been to preserve and strengthen Islam against the enemies’ seditions has been turned into sedition and chaos by groups such as the Salafi jihadism which considers Muslims somehow enemy and by their extremist actions pave the way for wars against Muslims and brutal murdering of them as well as causes Islamophobia, weakening of Islam, disrupting the security of Muslims and so on. Therefore, the author has attempted to conduct a study of the jihadist Salafist view of jihad, so that he can properly explain jihad and its factors and can take a step to prevent the abuse of the jihadist takfiri groups. By utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach to address the meaning of jihad from the perspective of the Holy Qur’an and the traditions and the Salafi jihadism, the description of the stages of jihad and the desuetude of some  verses by this group, the necessities and purposes of the Jihad, the study of some jihad issues, and the problems that the Salafi jihadism has caused in the Islamic world with their devious thoughts, the author has concluded that this group’s perverse ideas and selective interpretations of the verses have led them to commit brutal killings and atrocities by excommunicating Muslims and considering their murder as permissible.
