Felicity is one of the issues in the domain of religious studies that from a long time ago has drawn the attention of different scholars in the field of ethics and theology and is of great importance due to its close relationship with the purpose of creation and end of human life. Fakhre Razi and Allameh Tabatabai are such thinkers who have delivered opinions in two different theological fields and also have views and ideas concerning the issue of human felicity that due to these two thinkers being prominent and leading, the present study comparatively studies human felicity about Fakhre Razi and Allameh Tabatabai opinions through a descriptive- analytic method in order to analyze and investigate similarities and differences of these two views and then, have its necessary evaluation and conclusion. One of the common points between these two views is that felicity is the ultimate end and innate goal; it is graded and dubious and divided into some forms such as worldly and eternal ones that the best levels of felicity possesses spiritual aspect and the highest spiritual felicity is to see the exalted God which is achieved only in the hereafter and after the separation of human beings from this world. Also, in the case of meaning of life, with the targeted approach, felicity and meaningfulness are closely connected in both thinkers’ points of view. And one of the important differences of their views is that in the intellectual system of Allameh Tabatabaei the monotheistic view joint with voluntary faith and good deed is indeed effective proximity to God while Fakhre Razi puts more emphasis on completing intellectual and epistemic aspects of human entity in order to achieve this end since he knows the evolution of human soul in knowledge. Also, felicity from Fakhre Razi’s point of view is inherent due to the dominance of determinism on his thoughts while in Allameh Tabatabaei’s belief it is acquired and optional that they have resorted to some reasons in order to prove their claims. In sum, based on the evidence referred to in the analysis of the paper, it was proved that Allameh Tabatabaei’s opinion is of more certainty and legitimacy.
