In the thought of Imamiya, Imamate like Prophethood is a divine position. According to this theory, the choice of Imam as the choice of the Prophet is due to God. Nowadays a group of Shiite scholars claiming to “study the history of Shiite thought” , believes that the idea of the “divine appointment of Imam” lacking a historical background in the prophetic and the first Imams period. But it is considered as the result of the evolution of the Shi’ite Imamate, which has been added to the Shi’a ideological principles during the historical conditions. In contrast, in the issue of imamate and leadership of the Islamic society, they emphasize the theory of “allegiance and council. The present research seeks to show that the thought of the divine appointment of the Imams, like other Islamic teachings, is rooted in the Qur’an and the Prophetic tradition that during the time of the Age of Ahlulbit’s presence, considering the conditions of each period and in proportion to the audience’s understanding, without the slightest change In the content, it was explained.
