This book has written by a catholic layperson and sociologist about the search for social justice. The author has numbered different aims for writing it: 1-To analyze the causes of the structures of injustice, 2-To show the intimately connection between structures of injustice and to recognize the needs of society, 3-To offer catholic contribution to the debates about justice–seeking, 4-To offer suggestions for further reading and study. The author has written the book on the basis of six convictions: 1-there are numerous social injustices in the world, 2-different types of injustice are all interlinked, 3-apart from the personal injustices of individuals, there are sinful social structures, 4-there are two different types of response to social need or suffering, 5-the greatest duty of the Christian is to love our neighbor as ourselves, 6-Catholics, by their social thought, do special contribution to make Christian and people of good will work together. First the author offers a brief account of the social realities and presents a schedule of needs and injustices. He focuses in particular on liberal capitalism and globalization. He provides a set of tools for Christian reflection on the social realities and offers an account of the kingdom of god. Then he notes six justice issues: human rights, economic life, social exclusion, authentic development, and war and peace. Finally in the fourth part draws some conclusions for social action responses to the injustices.
