One of the crucial issues in Islamic jurisprudence is global peace. The present study attempts to investigate Islam’s principles and strategic planning for the development of peace in global level. It also seeks to find out how unity, peace and stability, both within the Islamic societies and its development in human societies, could be attained. The theory is based upon human being’s dignity, brotherhood and social justice; furthermore, it rests upon such pillars as the priority of morality, knowledge, culture and thought over violence. Moreover, it prioritizes peace over war. World peace potentials, which are investigated, require attention to optimization at both domestic and foreign relations levels, if the development of international peace is to be gained. From among the challenges of attaining world peace, the following can be pinpointed: potentials of creating wars, geographical borders among Islamic nations, tyrannies and rulers in paganish countries, pessimism arisen from ignorance and media cunning, and power seeking of anti-peace individuals. The present dissertation aims to explore the thoughts of the denominations’ jurisprudents about the genuineness of peace versus that of war and killing, theobjectives of Jihad, and Quran’s strategies to make them applicable.Following library as well as descriptive-analytic research methodology, the study has gained theoretical bases including proving the peace-oriented originality in Islam along with Islam’s rejection of the dominance ofanti-peace sovereignty.
