Religious behaviors and, consequently, political behaviors are among the most important behaviors of people in society And analyzing these behaviors among followers of religions can play an important role in identifying the various aspects of their religious and political behaviors and the extent of their proximity or distraction to the desirable situation in which the religion of Islam represents them. One of the important issues in community development studies is the issue of political behavior of religious people of that society, which is of great importance for political systems today. The importance of this issue for political views on the one hand is due to the consideration of political participation for assessing the legitimacy of a system and, on the other hand, as a factor for increasing the efficiency of a political system. Disregarding the religious and political behaviors of followers of religious sects means neglecting the majority of the population of the country. The main objective of this research is to identify religious and political behaviors among followers of Shia jurisprudence and Hanafi jurisprudence and its degree of compatibility with the legal principles of any religion in Gorgan. Documentary research method, descriptive survey type, field survey method, questionnaire and questionnaire. The sample size of this study was determined by using Cochran’s formula of 400 people. These respondents (two hundred Shiite and two hundred Sunni) In order to select the samples, a multi-stage sampling method was used with random stratified sampling. The results shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between the variable of religious behaviors and the variables of political behaviors of followers of Imam Ali’s Shiite jurisprudence and followers of jurisprudence of Sunni Hanafi.
