Throughout the majestic history of Islam, the issue of approximation the Islamic religions has been the focus of religious scholars and thinkers and it is essential and appropriate to study the thoughts of scholars and elites to depict the correct course in the issue of approximation of Islamic religions. The Supreme Leader as a Strong Leader of the Islamic Republic, is one of the Scouts of the approximation of Islamic religions, has principles and characteristics which are in line with the original Islamic teachings that study of the elites’ performance on the basis of these principles and characteristics can submit a detailed comparison and evaluation of the political and religious elites. Therefore, in this study, we attempt to provide an analysis of the ideas and principles and approximate achievements of the religious elites of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the approximate characteristics and foundations of the Supreme Leader, as well as to provide a scientific inquiry into their approximate performance, analysis and evaluation. Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani is one of the political elites of the contemporary era who has always been with Imam Khomeini for many years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution and was one of the few people who had an impressive impact on the revolution and had a key role in relation with the Islamic countries. Ayatollah Vaezzadeh Khorasani and Ayatollah Taskhiri were also among the few Shia religious elites in Iran who had an unparalleled role in dealing with scholars of the Muslim world and the Sunni scientific community and also have made memorable works and achievements in these relations Thus, by considering the elites’ characteristics mentioned in the approximation problem, and comparing them with the approximate indices of the supreme leader, a clear and reasoned assessment of their performance as well as their approximate ideas and bases can be provided. The religious and political elites of the Islamic Republic of Iran have acted in accordance with the approximate characteristics of the Supreme Leader in the approximation of Islamic religions and have always followed the Supreme Leader’s “Policies in the Matter of Islamic Unity”. Perhaps the reason for this balanced coordination is the single source from which the supreme leadership and the political and religious elites of the Islamic Republic of Iran have come to learn epistemology.
