It is an interdisciplinary field of humanities and art. Those interested to study in this program must be MA graduates of philosophy concentrations (Western philosophy, Islamic philosophy, Philosophy of science), and religions and mysticism. The graduates of other majors are required to take a two-step test. If they pass the first exam, they will be allowed to enter the second step along with the candidates of different concentrations of philosophy.<\/p>\n<p>The program aims to teach and train experts, competent in analyzing common studies between art and humanities. They are supposed to be able to perform and manage research projects, review, and make correction and revision of the existing studies and publications at their best.<\/p>\n<p>The graduates of the field will both teach and perform research at higher education institutes on topics related to the wisdom of Islamic art. They can also work as expert advisers on cultural and ideological issues.<\/p>\n<p>Holding a master\u2019s degree or an equivalent is sufficient for enrollment in this program. The previous degree of the applicant must be verified by the consulate of Iran in the issuing country. Also, matching the applicants\u2019 previous field of study with the current program is not necessary. Upon establishing the applicants\u2019 scholarly competency and the committee\u2019s agreement, the applicants are eligible to study in this program regardless of their previous field of study. Previous publications including books, research papers, and journal articles can positively influence the committee\u2019s judgment.<\/p>\n<p>The PhD program in \u201cWisdom of Religious Arts\u201d takes 4 years which equals 8 academic semesters. The semesters are scheduled as follows: 4 semesters are dedicated to the coursework, 1 semester is dedicated to the comprehensive examination, and the last 3 semesters are dedicated to writing the thesis. The students pass the prerequisites during the first semester, followed by the core and elective courses during the upcoming semesters.<\/p>\n<p>The Doctorate program of \u201cWisdom of Religious Art\u201d includes 42 credits: 22 credits of core courses and 20 credits of the thesis. \u201cMystical principles of Islamic aesthetics\u201d, \u201cwisdom of art in Iran before and after Islam\u201d, \u201cwisdom of art in other Islamic lands\u201d, \u201cwisdom of art in India and the Far East\u201d, and \u201cwisdom of Jewish and Christian art\u201d are among the core courses of this program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Doctoral program of \u201cWisdom of Religious Arts\u201d is a comprehensive educational package in line with the regulations and decisions made by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran.
